Seven lecturers from IAIN Parepare have been selected as panelists for AICIS 2024

Humas IAIN Parepare-Seven lecturers from Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Parepare served as panelists at the Annual International Conference on Islamic Studies (AICIS) 2024 in Semarang, which is held from January 1st – 4th, 2024.


The 23rd AICIS, entitled "Redefining the Roles of Religion in Addressing Human Crisis: Encountering Peace, Justice, and Human Rights Issues," was officially inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Saiful Rahmat Dasuki, on Thursday evening, February 1, 2024.

Saiful argued that AICIS 2024 is a strategic forum to define the role of religion in addressing various global situations. "We hope that AICIS provides valuable insights on how we redefine the role of religion in facing humanitarian crises. And how we can move forward towards a world that is more peaceful, just, and respectful of humanity for all," the Deputy Minister explained.

Here are the names of the IAIN Parepare lecturers representing as panelists at AICIS 2024: 1) Islamul Haq with the paper titled "Reassessing Maslahah: Analyzing South Sulawesi MUI Fatwa 2023 (No. 003) Regarding Plant Transactions for Swine Feed in Minority Regions." 2) Muhiddin with the paper titled "Humanitarian Solidarity Crisis of Rohingya Muslims (Analysis Study of Ibn Khaldun's Ashabiyah)." 3) Nur Afiah with the paper titled "Altruism or Egoism: A Study of Religious Behavior of Indonesian Society in the War Conflict between Palestine and Israel."



4) M. Taufiq Hidayat Pabbajah and St Aminah with the paper titled "Socio-Sufism Practices within Indonesia’s Tariqah Practitioners." 5) A. Rio Makkulau Wahyu with the paper titled "Boycott and the Bugis Sipakatau Philosophy: Humanitarian Movement Efforts in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict." 6) Adhitia P. Putra with the paper titled "Women in Indonesia: Exploring the Role of Balinese Women and Bugisnese Women in the Battleground Tourism Image." 7) Nurhakki with the paper titled "Digital Rural Inclusion: Bridging Solutions for Information and Services Administration Marginalization." 


The Rektor of IAIN Parepare, Hannani, expressed his appreciation for the lecturers who successfully participated as panelists in the AICIS international conference.

Hannani expects that the involvement of the lecturers in such events serves as a moment to disseminate research findings, exchange academic information, and build scholarly reputation that is recognized both nationally and internationally.

"This proves that IAIN Parepare is capable of standing shoulder to shoulder with other researchers at prestigious national and international forums," Hannani stated. (Aen/Tin/MM)
