Public Relation of IAIN Parepare – The State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Parepare held an inauguration ceremony for new officials on Friday (22/03/2024) at the 5th Floor Library. The ceremony was led by the Rector of IAIN Parepare, Prof. Dr. Hannani, M.Ag.
The three officials who were inaugurated were M. Ali Rusdi, who was officially appointed as Vice Rector III for Student Affairs and Cooperation. Muhammad Haramain, was inaugurated as Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M). Dirga Achmad assumed the new role as Head of the Admission Center, Public Relations & International Office.
In his speech, Hannani congratulated Ali Rusdi on his new position, while emphasizing the importance of the role of Vice Rector III, especially in raising student spirit and improving the quality of cooperation.
Hannani reminded that student activities should not be separated from accreditation. Therefore, Ali Rusdi was encouraged to make changes gradually.
"Building student enthusiasm for activities even without funds," said Hannani. "Making changes must be done by sitting together with them, learning from them, coming to them, and doing what they agree on."
Hannani also emphasized the importance of preparing students for success. "We should not feel successful, but prepare them to be successful people," he said.
Furthermore, Hannani encouraged improving the quality of cooperation with various parties, both internal and external. "Close cooperation with study programs and partners will improve the quality of student affairs and cooperation at IAIN Parepare," he said.
Dr. M. Ali Rusdi, who previously served as Head of LP2M, is expected to improve the quality of student affairs and cooperation at IAIN Parepare. Muhammad Haramain, who previously served as Head of the Admission Center, Public Relations & International Office, is now tasked with advancing research and community service that is more innovative and beneficial. Meanwhile, Dirga Achmad is expected to increase the attractiveness of IAIN Parepare for prospective students, both domestically and internationally.
This inauguration is a strategic step for IAIN Parepare to improve its performance and realize its vision and mission. It is hoped that with this new leadership, IAIN Parepare can become even more excellent and competitive as an Islamic Higher Education Institution at the national and international levels.
